Our History, Work, Clients and Partners
Trans Africa Business Associates and Consultants Limited (TABAC) was incorporated in Nigeria in 1979, as a multi-disciplinary consulting company. The company had operated for a few years prior to that in the United States of America. Working with other companies within our Group, and in collaboration with local and international agencies, we have successfully facilitated numerous projects in various sectors of the Nigerian economy.

Our Work
Most of the projects carried out during its over 40 year history portray TABAC’s bias for socio-economic restructuring as a panacea to achieve more inclusive development scenarios at global, regional and national levels. In the ‘70s and ‘80s, at the global level, we advocated proposals in support of perestroika and non aligned movements.

In Nigeria our restructuring proposals, first presented in the ‘70s, were aimed at tapping the vast potential of the nation’s rural resources to enjoy comparative advantage. Some of our projects and proposals eventually found their way into the Structural Adjustment Program (SAP).

TABAC has provided project management services for many of its clients, sometimes forging partnerships between public and private sectors; particularly for infrastructure development. We also have some trailblazing education and tourism development projects to our credit.

Our Clients and Partners
Most of our projects were carried out for, with or in collaboration with clients and stakeholders in non-government, public and private sectors. These include local and international agencies such as the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), International Labor Organization (ILO), United States Information Agency (USIA), Co-operative Federation of Nigeria (CFN), as well as Ekiti, Ogun and Lagos State Governments of Nigeria. We have also collaborated with agencies of the Federal Government of Nigeria and the United States of America. There is also a growing list of private sector collaborators.

Our Vision
The new millennium presents new challenges for the African continent; and TABAC is offering its services as a Restructuring Consultant. We have the experience and resources that qualify us as a strong manager for change. In this decade we are retaining our focus on advocacy for massive human resource development, with continuing emphasis on the youth population.

We are also seeking to strengthen agriculture value chains across board by assimilatIng them with youth, entrepreneurship and SME development projects. This is in addition to facilitating widespread access to improved farm practices and processes.

On the continent, we would be using our experience and network to develop trade relations, with Africa and intra-Africa, to consolidate the emergent African economy. We believe that these should be the fundamental underpinnings of a healthy posture for the African continent and its individual countries in the post-Covid era. It is our hallmark and to our credit as a restructuring advocate that we had articulated most of these trends and exigencies, which are now gaining currency, in our portfolio of services for over 40 years.

Our Modus Operandi
In preparation for the new environment, we have restructured TABAC operations and modus operandi to hone our skills and enhance our performance. Our consultancy service areas are now schemed vertically and horizontally to link and secure the restructuring value chain.
