INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND PROJECT DEVELOPMENT SERVICE (ITPDS)
The ITPDS is a bespoke service drawing from TABAC’s wealth of inter-sectoral experience and vast network in the global village. TABAC offers clients in the international community the ITPDS, as a one-stop shop for business, partnerships, policy and project development. TABAC clients are assured of an enlightened and informed posture on Africa.
Sometimes well heeled corporates just need local navigation, the right partners, penetration and marketing services; all of which we can facilitate. International and multilateral agencies also need the type of secure environment that TABAC provides.
TABAC is also very adept at managing social, economic, special events and developmental projects such as workshops, conferences and seminars aimed at distilling sectoral development policies.
Renewable Energy
We were pioneer advocates in the seventies of renewable energy under the auspices of the United States Department of Energy and the Embassy of the United States of America in Nigeria. We participated in catalog video presentations in Lagos and Kaduna. We also collaborated with various agencies including Energy Commission of Nigeria, Solar Energy Society of Nigeria, Solar Energy Industries Association (Wash. DC), RDC Solar (Lagos) (1984-2000).
US-Africa Trade Opportunities
We participated in a United States Information Agency (USIA) project held in the United States, with select Young African Leaders from 25 African countries. The project emphasized entrepreneurship development and promotion of intra-Africa trade relations. The project provided us with a rare insight and access to vast resources in SME and entrepreneurship development. This included a study engagement with the Small Business Administration (SBA, Wash. DC) and many institutions and Small/Medium sized businesses in various States of the US.(1989). Working with colleagues from the other African countries, we also used the opportunity to develop a template for intra-Africa trade relations”(1989).
Development Workshops
We organized a National development workshop on “Funding Education in Nigeria : The need and possibilities for Public-Private Partnership”. We initiated the project in collaboration with the Lagos State University (LASU) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). We hosted the workshop at the Administrative Staff College of Nigerian (ASCON), Badagry, Lagos. Papers were presented by captains of industry, leading educationists and financial experts. A very foresighted keynote address was presented by Chief M. K. O. Abiola (1992).
We organized Stakeholder training and capacity building programs for MDAs of the Lagos State Government in Education, Hospitality and Healthcare Sectors; in collaboration with local, international agencies and academic institutions. Some of our partners included the St Louis Community College, St. Louis, Missouri, USA; Lagos State Emergency Medical Service (LASEMS) and Lagos State Polytechnic (Laspotech). (2000-2002).
