TRAINING AND CAPACITY BUILDING (TCB)

TABAC enjoys affiliation with some notable training and educational institutions worldwide, to provide training for a wide ranging target audience. This includes training for youth empowerment, executives in public service, corporate bodies and teachers. Our local affiliate, Facilitation & Training Services Limited (FTSL), provides us with a formidable catalogue for our clients. We also enjoy affiliation with Applied Scholastics International (ASI), an international franchise offering state of the art training experience for teachers.
Armed with certification and training modules from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), International Labor Organization (ILO) and Junior Chamber International (JCI), arguably three of the world’s leading capacity building organizations, TABAC has carried out training programs for small scale business operators in Lagos, Ogun and Ekiti States. Training topics include Entrepreneurship, marketing, product packaging, management of sales force, basic bookkeeping etc. Trainings were carried out under the auspices of local business organizations such as the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA), Nigerian Association of Small Scale Industries (NASSI) and the Nigeria Junior Chamber (JCIN), in partnership with the relevant State agencies.

Training of Hotel Staff and Accreditation of Hotels in Ogun State

This project was developed and implemented in preparation for the National Sports Festival (Gateway Games) hosted by Ogun State Government in 2006. Working with the Gateway Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC), we carried out training in all the major hotels in Ogun State. We also facilitated accreditation of hotels, in line with international standards. Following the accreditation process, we created an advocacy platform for the hotels to seek and obtain support from the State Government to improve their industry environment and infrastructure (2006).
